Health and safety is paramount to Peter Burton & Company and we are committed to safeguarding the health & safety of all employees and members of the public.
Peter Burton & Company are accredited with the leading industry health and safety bodies – Constructionline and Acclaim. Consequently we provide site specific risk assessments, method statements and COSHH assessments as standard procedure. We also have experience of acting as principal contractor where CDM regulations apply.
Peter Burton & Company are committed to CSCS. Our customers can therefore be assured that the people undertaking their work have a good level of safety awareness as well as technical competence.
Peter Burton & Company ensures compliance at all times with current Health and Safety Legislation and with the individual health and safety standards of our clients. We operate our own Health and Safety Management System.
- Our Director and Managers hold SMSTS certificates.
- Managers and Operatives are all trained in Health and Safety Awareness.
- All Managers and Supervisors hold relevant Management and Supervisory CSCS cards and our operatives hold current CSCS skills card.
Operatives are IPAF and PASMA trained for a range of access or working at height solutions. Site induction and weekly toolbox talks are carried out on all our sites. Appropriate PPE is mandatory for all our operatives on all our sites.
Constructionline
Peter Burton & Company are registered with Constructionline and thereby the auditable standards required by bodies such as Local Authorities and Government departments have been attained.
Acclaim - SSIP (Safety Schemes in Procurement)
Peter Burton & Company has been assessed demonstrating that it meets the core criteria for health and safety competence as outlined in the Construction (Design and Management) Regulations 2007. SSIP is an umbrella organisation set up to reduce the pre-qualification burden and facilitate the mutual recognition of health and safety assessments between pre-qualification schemes wherever it is practicable to do so.
Painting & Decorating Association
Peter Burton & Company Ltd are members of the Painting and Decorating Association. The PDA ensures all members adhere to the highest standards, have a clear pricing structure, all the right insurances and fulfil the PDA’S strict vetting process.
